A message from LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming).
Open Farm Sunday (OFS) is firmly established as the farming and food industry’s annual open day. Now celebrating its tenth anniversary, the OFS has continued to grow year on year and has to date achieved more than 1.25 million visitors to farms since it started in 2006.
Managed by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), with support from leading food and farming organisations, the event provides an opportunity for consumers to meet farmers and build their knowledge and trust in British farming and food.
In 2015 consumers will be encouraged to celebrate British farming and food. Consumer PR will also encourage the public to support British farmers throughout the year – and to improve their understanding of how farmers produce the food we eat and the work they do to look after
the countryside.
LEAF is the leading organisation delivering sustainable food and farming. LEAF works with farmers, the food industry, scientists and consumers to inspire and enable sustainable farming that is prosperous, enriches the environment and engages local communities.
